• Identifying key references, influences and conversations your work sits alongside, so you can place it among your contemporaries

• How to get the work to the right places (national and international shows, publications, and opportunities) and use conversation to create context for yourself

• Knowing when work is “finished” (or never finished), choosing the right time span for different opportunities, and planning a realistic timeline for sharing publicly
