Welcome to
Work Show Grow
school
How it works
In this members area you will find: the resources library of past workshops, worksheets, and an archive of the mentoring sessions.
There is also an events diary of upcoming events for the next three months. You will notice the session times vary, this is to allow for time zone and schedule flexibility. As part of this diary you will be able to see when the monthly group crits take place. To book a place on a crit head to the crit page.
On the crit page watch the Slack introductory video with Natasha explaining how Work Show Grow crits run. This is also where you will book your crit session. It is up to you to book your own crit session each month. Once booked,. it is important that you attend.
In addition to this website we use Slack to communicate with each other day to day. The noticeboard channel is where you will find pinned community guidelines, session reminders, and Zoom links. There are a number of other channels for community support, collaboration, and chit chat! This is where the magic happens. Download the Slack app to your phone and desktop for 24-hour Work Show Grow peer support.

Crits
These peer to peer sessions are a highlight in the monthly school calendar. Making regular use of crit sessions will give your work structure and support progressing an idea from its earliest stages through to completion.
A crit is an open and respectful environment to give and receive feedback for your work. You can sign up to one crit a month via the Acuity link. There are three slightly different types of crits to allow for different levels and current needs. Decide on which session you wish to attend and click through to book. The Zoom link to the session will be in the notes of the booking confirmation.
If you don’t feel you have anything to present or you’d like to see how it all works first you can book onto any crit to listen and offer feedback. This is a great way to learn, grow, and feel connected. There will be a number of people doing this for each session.
The sessions are intentionally at a variety of times and days to allow for time zone and schedule flexibility. Each session has a maximum capacity of eight people and will take place on Zoom. A crit lead will informally introduce the session and keep everyone's presentation to time.
Each month the sessions will run as follows and are made available to book two weeks before.
Please only book one session per month.
"Work Show Grow is a playground for artistic minds. It’s like having a backstage pass to a non-stop creative festival. I love it for it’s honest, no bullshit, collaborative approach."
